Are students ready to inherit the Earth?
Our mission for over 15 years has been to prepare them. Now, it’s time to scale up and bring to life our most ambitious program, but we need your support!
The Eco-Designers Program is the first of its kind to be taught in High Schools. A completely customizable STEM-based program that focuses on solutions.
Our Eco-Designer Method’s primary tool is permaculture design, a design method & philosophy which integrates principles of ecology, design and ethics. This interdisciplinary, project-based approach illuminates nature-inspired solutions that can prepare our students for an uncertain future.
Along with professional development and coaching for teachers, Eco-designers consists of 3 years of programming that can be purchased in individual years or semesters, allowing schools to tailor it to their unique needs and scheduling constraints.
Created by Monica Ibacache, Founder and President of Beyond Organic Design, our program offers schools the tools and resources they need to incorporate whole-systems thinking into their classrooms. For schools, this is a low-stakes, high-impact way to explore cutting-edge educational change.

What do our students say?
“You taught me another language for my creativity and gave me a new outlet and helped me develop a new skill. Now I have another thing I can point to and say that I do, I can design a garden, and I know how to make it sustainable and I have another purpose and another option in life.”
