Who We AreBeyond Organic Design (BOD) is an urban sustainability education organization that offers hands-on, year-round, permaculture curriculums; designed to help students understand the real-world value of sustainable ecological design.
What We DoUsing hand-on based activities, BOD educators teach students how to design and create ecologically diverse environments in their playgrounds, gardens, and campgrounds.
Why We Do ItWe believe preparing children and youth to become eco-citizens, by giving them an opportunity to learn the skills they need to design solutions and transforming their physical spaces into dynamic and regenerative habitats, we guarantee their ability to inherit the earth in this time of climate crisis.
How We Do ItBeyond Organic Design's pedagogical approach uses permaculture as a tool for peace-building and literacy development. Our trained and certified educators passionately facilitate and co-teach student populations of diverse backgrounds.
