About Beyond Organic Design


Beyond Organic Design is a nonprofit committed to teaching Regenerative Agriculture, Organic Gardening, and Sustainable Urbanism to create resilient communities, an approach rooted in emulating nature's principles for sustainability and regeneration.

 Our mission is to empower through knowledge and practices that enhance biodiversity, soil health, and climate resilience. Join us in building a more sustainable and equitable world.

SPRING PROGRAM AT CENTRAL PARK EAST 2

This is our 8-week spring program for Pre-K to 8th-grade students. We explore permaculture design, sustainable agriculture, and urban green spaces. Through hands-on experiences, students learn vital skills, nurture a thriving garden, and become environmental stewards. Discover the wonders of nature in the city with us!

​URBAN DESIGN & SUSTAINABILITY PROGRAM (UDSP)​

Explore our immersive 150-hour Urban Design & Sustainability Program (UDSP) this summer. Designed for rising 3rd to 6th graders, it offers a unique blend of arts, culinary, agriculture, and permaculture design.
Through service learning and a STEAM-based curriculum, students gain hands-on experience in herbalism, gardening, design, and more. Culminate your summer with student-prepared feasts and impressive permaculture designs!

About Monica Ibacache

Monica Ibacache, the CEO and Founder of Beyond Organic Design and Monica Ibacache Inc., is a community organizer, teacher, and ecological designer based in New York City. With a passion for gardening, she honed her skills while growing up with her grandparents in Chile and continued her journey in southeast Alaska. Eventually, she became a certified permaculture designer in the United States.


Currently, Monica is dedicated to enhancing food systems and promoting social and environmental justice through her work. As a woman of color, she has a strong affinity for teaching in diverse and marginalized communities, making a significant impact in these areas.
