Little Growers, Inc. is a youth-centered urban agriculture project that promotes community food security, sustainability, and serves as gateways to leadership development opportunities for at-risk youth in a positive, friendly, and productive atmosphere. Their improve nutrition and decrease the risk of food insecurity by teaching children lessons in where food comes from, the importance of eating fresh produce, as well as, how to grow food through fun hands on activities.
Little Growers, Inc. seeks to build a localized green economy that provides green jobs and ownership opportunities to local residents that restore the environment, while investing in building the health, wealth and resilience of communities most impacted by climate change.
Little Growers, Inc. seeks to support a more resilient community whose residents are prepared to face the adverse effects of climate change. Residents of this low income community will gain a sense of community empowerment and self-determination such that they can provide for their own vital needs.

That’s the vision behind our collaboration with Little Growers Inc. Together, we’re introducing students to the principles of permaculture and urban agriculture, using hands-on learning to reimagine the Little Growers Community Garden—located in a historically underserved neighborhood near Crane Creek in Melbourne, Florida.
This living classroom becomes a launchpad for change. Students gain the tools to design, grow, and restore—with a focus on sustainability, community well-being, and ecological literacy.
This year, through this immersive series, students will learn about management of polluted water!
