Service Learning Weeks (and 1-Week Intensives)

​Experience urban ecological sustainability in action with BOD’s one-week intensive “Sustainable City Systems” course. Included are daily field trips, guest speakers, hands-on construction, and permaculture design projects. Students explore themes around ecological design, whole-systems thinking, bioremediation, and alternative energy. The program culminates in a celebration and showcase of students’ finished design projects.

Master the basics of what sustainability can look like in urban cities.Students explore themes around ecological design, whole-systems thinking, bioremediation, and alternative energy.

Complete with daily field trips, guest speakers, experiments, hands-on construction, and permaculture design projects.  

The program culminates in a celebration and showcase of students’ finished design projects.
