The Permaculture Leadership & Internship Program
This weekly elective trains 9-12th grade students to use permaculture design, math, science and the writing process to tackle community food challenges and opportunities. Students analyze current events, interview community leaders, conduct agroecological research, apprentice with professionals, and use online design software to create sustainable solutions for their communities. Students exit the program with a digital portfolio of work that will give them a competitive edge in the organic industry. Students have the option of exiting the program with a Professional Permaculture Design Certificate.
